A diverse yet unified community of all ages, sharing the message of Jesus by word and deed in Sligo and beyond.
Welcome to this morning service of Holy Communion led by Canon Ronnie Bourke with Revd Victoria Pringle assisting.
Richard Mitchell will be leading our sung worship today. The hymns/songs are:
451 We come as guests
428 Let us break bread
My heart is filled (99 in Thanks & Praise)
The readings are: 1 Kings 3.5-12 & Matthew 13.31-33 & 44-52.
3 pm St John’s Hospital service of Holy Communion.
Prepare yourself as you come to Holy Communion. It is an awesome thing to receive the emblems of Christ’s broken body and shed blood. Don’t hesitate if you think you are not worthy – none of us are. But don’t presume that it is of no consequence – if only we could perceive what the unseen world knows! Come thankful, repentant, prayerful, believing and receive to your own great benefit.
To receive you must at least be baptised. We usually expect children to have been confirmed.

Have you ever thought…
that meeting together on a Sunday is meant to be a highlight of the week. If you choose not to come you are depriving the rest of us an essential element – your presence. Watching online isn’t the same as being physically present and interacting with others. Come expecting to hear from God. Don’t overlook the other people who are there – God may have arranged them to be there precisely for this moment.
Additional Points for Prayer
- Victoria as she starts her ministry as curate
- help with children and families, youth and our sung worship
- Cosy Cats Childcare
- Venezuela after the devastating earthquakes
Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.
