Church of Ireland Youth Dept Confirmation Questionnaire
CIYD are hoping to survey everyone who was confirmed since 2017. We need at least 500 responses to get a good data set and from across the Church of Ireland.
The survey is here: https://forms.gle/wK7NkwhRf9yBXaZU9
It's totally anonymous, can be completed by anyone (regardless of age) who was confirmed in the C of I since 2017 and the deadline is 31st December. I have Prof. Leslie Francis and his team lined up to crunch the data and tell us how we can make Confirmation more impactful, but what we really need is data!

Sad News
Some Calry parishioners will remember Rev Bill Atkins, former Rector of the South Leitrim Group of Parishes, who has recently died. This is a post from one of his current parishes in the Diocese of Armagh:
The Select Vestry and parishioners of St John’s Parish Church, Caledon, are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of our much-loved Rev Bill Atkins.
For 13 years, Bill faithfully ministered to our church family, and his sudden passing has left us shocked and heartbroken. Throughout those years, we came to know Bill as a man of deep faith, great humility and exceptional kindness.
Bill had an immense knowledge and understanding of the Bible, yet there was never any sense of pride in that knowledge. He shared God’s Word faithfully, always seeking to point others towards Christ. At the heart of his ministry was a genuine concern for people and, particularly, for their hearts and their relationship with God…. At this heartbreaking time, our thoughts and prayers are especially with his wife Jamila, his son Mark and the wider family circle.
Additional Prayer Points
- provision of a new musical director, more Sunday School team and youth leaders
- the formation of a new parish youth group
- the diocese of Kindu – protection from Ebola and fighting and for education and church growth
- the grieving after the mass shooting at a Christian funeral in Jordan on Friday
No one could say a word in reply,
and from that day on no one dared to ask him any more questions.
Matthew 22.46
