Quiet Week
NB: The Tuesday morning study group and the Wednesday prayer group are both taking a break for the week. The Rector is off duty from Monday – Saturday. If you need to contact a clergy person you can call Revd Victoria on 089 400 2605. But please note that her day-off is on Friday.

Next Sunday Morning 9th
We are looking forward to having some international visitors next Sunday from the Operation Mobilisation ship Logos Hope that is docked in Dublin. Expect an emphasis on world mission! Claudio Barguena will be leading our sung worship.

Calry Women’s Fellowship Afternoon 9th
Also on Sunday 9th, after church a light lunch will be served in the Rectory before the women take a trip to the dhalia farm. There is no charge but she’s selling bunches of flowers for the Jack and Jill Foundation. Please notify Pippa on 083 404 5806 if you plan to come and if you need a lift.

Holy Communion Evening 9th
There will be a service of Holy Communion the same evening 9th August at 7.00 pm. This might be for those that aren’t free in the morning, or prefer a quieter service. It’s an experiment. Let us know what you think.

Sunday Evening Service 16th August in SUH
There will be a simple, short service of Evening Prayer in the Church of the Holy Trinity, Sligo University Hospital on Sunday 16th August at 7.00 pm. All welcome.

Church Picnic
On Sunday 30th August there will be a bring and share Parish Picnic after church – an opportunity to get to know Revd Victoria and to enjoy a late summer afternoon together. Venue tbc. Please note the date now.

Visiting
Revd Victoria and the Rector are endeavouring to visit Calry parishioners over the summer. If you would especially like a visit please contact either of them to mention when might be a suitable time. Or, they may call you!

Pam Scanlon is one of six female cyclists from Inishfree Wheelers Cycling Club planning to pedal from Limerick to Leitrim (240 km) starting on Friday 21st August to raise money for SHOUT (Sligo Hospital Oncology Unit Trust). Revds Victoria and Joshua have moved in to their new home – Riverstown Rectory. We hope that they will be very happy there!

New Garden Fence
Well done to Gus and Tammy, ably assisted by Bertie, on erecting the new garden fence, making it safe for children from Cosy Cats to play in.

Congratulations!
Mark Dunne and his son Reuben share the same birthday, 4 August… just 39 years apart. So happy first birthday to Reuben and fortieth to Mark!

Also, happy birthday to Anjola, Zainab’s son, who just celebrated his tenth birthday on 29 July!

And happy first anniversary to Victoria and Joshua!
