Today is Remembrance Sunday

11.00 am will begin with an Act of Remembrance. Please try and get in on time.

The theme of the sermon is: Overcoming through adversity.

Readings: Haggai 2.1-9, Psalm 145.1-5 & 18-22, 2 Thessalonians 2.1-5 & 13-17, Luke 20.27-38

Songs: O God our help in ages past 537, Be still for the presence of the Lord 625, You are my hiding place, God is for us.

Sunday School is meeting today.

The group meets on Tuesday at 11.15 am - 12.30 pm. We have just started looking at the next Practice – Fasting.

 

Mid-week Groups

Practicing the Way resumes on Wednesday in the Catacombs at 7.30 pm – 9.00 pm. A great way of growing in faith. Open to newcomers!

 

Grammar School Service of Remembrance and Reconciliation

This is on Thursday at 11 am and is always a memorable occasion. Feel free to come.

Festive Flower Demonstration

The Grammar Parents’ Association are hosting a festive flower demonstration in the school on Thursday 27 November at 7.00 pm. Tickets cost €10.

Sad News

There have been three deaths within Calry families in the past fortnight.

Joan Pollock (mother of Lisa Dunne) and Jim Shannon (father of Jason and Nadine) died on the same day Monday 27 October. And Joyce Greer (mother of Pam Scanlon) died on Tuesday 4 November. Please remember these families in your prayers.

 

Annual Memorial Service

This Friday is our annual memorial service in Calry at 8.00 pm. Anyone who wishes to can use it as an opportunity to remember loved ones, wherever or whenever they died. Send names to be read aloud to rector@calry.ie
