Today
Today is the Feast of Pentecost – the day we remember the coming of the Holy Spirit and effectively when the church began.
This is a service of Holy Communion as it is a major festival.
BTG and Sunday School are both meeting. But BTG will start at 11 am.
Readings: Acts 2.1-21 and John 14.8-17, 25-27.
Songs: 195 Lord the light of your love is shining; Holy Spirit living breath of God; 294 Come down, O Love divine.
3 pm Holy Communion in St John’s Hospital.

Calry Global Kitchen Lunch
Following the success of last year’s special church lunch we are going to have another one this year on 15th June, Father’s Day. The plan will be to hold it in the Rectory garden. We will need volunteers to prepare food, but please check with Hilda Latten or Jennifer Bourke about what to bring. We would love a variety of food from different cultures.
Tuesday Bible Study at the Rectory
The group meets from 11.15 am - 12.30 pm.
Select Vestry
The first meeting of the new Select Vestry will take place on Tuesday 10th June at 8 pm in the Catacombs.

Youth Event
We will be holding an event for our young people (secondary age) on Friday 13th June at 5 pm in the Lissadell Centre. Voluntary contribution of €10.
Summer Madness – Youth Festival
A group from the Diocese is going to attend the Summer Madness youth festival from Friday 27 June to Tuesday 1 July. For a long time groups of young people from Sligo have gone to SM. This year Claudio will be going. It is open to anyone of secondary school age. If you are interested in attending get in touch rector@calry.ie
New Wine
The conference begins on Sunday 13th July with an Evening celebration in ATU Sligo at 7.15 pm. Sunday evening is free, but you still need to register to attend. During the week we have full day tickets, half day tickets and evening tickets which can be purchased at the info point at the ATU or online. Fort Hill
There is an archaeological dig happening on Fort Hill at the moment. There will be an opportunity for the public to visit on Tuesday 10th at 2.30 pm and find out more about what is going on.
Condolences
Tracy Murphy’s father Francie died on Monday 26 May in Donegal Community Hospital. Heartfelt condolences to all the family.
