This is Palm Sunday and the beginning of Holy Week, sometimes known as the Week of All Weeks.
11.00 am is a Service of the Word.
Readings are: Psalm 118.1-2 & 19-29, Isaiah 50.4-9a & Matthew 21.1-11.

Easter Sunday 5th April - Sunrise Worship Service on Lissadell Beach at 7am.
Decorating and Cleaning the Church

We will need plenty of help to decorate the church for Easter Day. This will happen on Holy Saturday (4 th ). And
the church will need to be hoovered, swept and polished. Please put your name down for a slot on Saturday.

Tuesday Morning Rectory Group

Tuesday at 11.15 am. All welcome!

Youth Pizza Night

Young people are invited to a youth night in Calry Rectory 7.00 – 9.30 pm. There will be DIY pizza, games,
video and time to reflect on Holy Week. Any one of secondary age is welcome. Please text or email Patrick if
you plan to be there.

The Alpha Course
The course continues on Wednesday at 7.15 pm in the Catacombs.

Good News! Bishop Ken Clarke 17 th April

Bishop Ken Clarke is the guest speaker at a special event hosted by the Church of Ireland Evangelical
Fellowship (CIEF) in Calry on Friday 17 th April at 7.30 pm. The theme is ‘What is the good news and why does
it still matter today?’ It promises to be a memorable evening, open to all.

Faith Reignited 14-24 May

A planning meeting to consider what we aim to do will be held in Calry Rectory on Thursday 9 th April at 8.00
pm.

Oceanview 30 th Anniversary

The CEF Oceanview camp and conference centre is 30 years old this year. A special gathering is planned for
Saturday 13 th June at 3 pm in Rossnowlagh, Co Donegal. For more information or to RSVP go to

Bishops’ Appeal

During Holy Week please consider giving something extra to the Church of Ireland’s world aid and development
programme called Bishops’ Appeal. Special envelopes are available in church. Its main partners are Christian
Aid, Fields of Life, Tearfund, SAMS Ireland and CMS Ireland.
Condolences

There was very sad news in the week of the murder of Eric Ford’s cousin Patrick (55), his wife Stacy and her son
Jacob Lambert in Crete Township, Illinois.
