Choral Landscapes: Songs Across Time and Place

Sligo Orpheus Choir are kindly holding this concert in Calry on Saturday evening 24 May at 7.00 pm in order to raise funds for the repair to the north parapet roof of the church. Please spread the word!

 

Ukrainian Event

On Saturday 31st our next Ukrainian event will take place in Calry at 3 pm. Do come and support our friends.

 

Praise in the Park

Spring to Life are hosting Praise in the Park on Saturday 31st May. This will take place at the Cleveragh open air concert area situated in Cleveragh Park - just across the road from Sligo Swimming Pool. The event, which is free, will begin at 5.00 pm and will have a great line-up of local musicians and some short testimonies. Any queries to Gwyneth Rich 087 9137713.

 

Prayer

That evening 31st May at 7.30 pm there will be a special prayer gathering in Sligo Methodist Church led by Crown Jesus Ministries. They are planning ecumenical prayer gatherings throughout the island.

 

Select Vestry

The first meeting of the new Select Vestry will take place on Tuesday 10th June at 8 pm in the Catacombs.

 

Bell Tower Group

BTG is on again in June! This is for young people from 6th Class – 2nd Year. Next sessions on Sunday 8th and 15th June.

 

Summer Madness – Youth Festival

A group from the Diocese is going to attend the Summer Madness youth festival from Friday 27 June to Tuesday 1 July. For a long time groups of young people from Sligo have gone to SM. This year Claudio will be going. It is open to anyone of secondary school age.. If you are interested in attending get in touch rector@calry.ie

New Wine

This year’s conference in Sligo ATU is Sunday 13th – Friday 18th July. It is a highlight of the summer for many people – a spiritual tonic! The conference is designed for all ages with lots of activities for children and youth. You can visit for one evening or attend the whole thing. Safe Haven, Buncrana

Ruth Garvey-Williams is the editor of The Scribe our diocesan magazine. She and her husband Andrew lead a new church in Buncrana called Safe Haven. The two young men who were tragically drowned a week ago, Emmanuel Familola and Matt Sibanda were both connected with Safe Haven. Please pray for the whole community as they deal with this loss.
