We are looking at our second big theme in the Bible overview: Law

Scripture readings are: Psalm 119.1-16, Deuteronomy 30.11-20 and Romans 10.1-13.

Hymns this morning are: Adoration; The Church’s one foundation (528); and Lord for the years (81)

Sunday School and Bell Tower Group are both meeting today. This is the last Sunday for BTG this term.

Coffee and tea are available after the service.

NB: The service in St John’s Hospital is today at 10 am.

Calry 200 News

This is a big week for our church family. A large marquee will be going up tomorrow morning. We will be playing hosts to all sorts of visitors and celebrating the milestone of 200 years. Please, if you can, get involved. Obviously, with work and family commitments, health and travel issues there are limitations. But for those who are able, here’s a list of some ways to help:


  1. Gather for prayer in Calry this evening at 7.00 pm
  2. Join in the church big clean-up from 3 pm onwards on Wednesday 12th
  3. Volunteer to help decorate the church with flowers. Contact Pippa on 083 404 5806.
  4. Help with practical arrangements for the tea on Thursday13th. Contact Tessa Marsden or email rector@calry.ie
  5. Assist with ushering on13th. Contact Temi the Church Warden on tososanya@gmail.com
  6. Assist with teas and coffees etc on Friday 14th. Contact Temi on tososanya@gmail.com

There are plenty of spaces to be filled for Church Welcomers. If you haven’t yet helped and can afford a few hours during the week please consider offering yourself. Currently we are half way through Judges.



A sample of the special commemorative ceramic piece handmade by Sharlene Kemple is in church today. They cost €40. If you would like one please add your name to the list at the back of church or email admin@calry.ie


  • Thursday 13th00 pm Thanksgiving Service followed by tea in the Rectory garden
  • Friday 14th00 – 2.30 pm: Free organ recitals in Calry. Come when you can, go when you must.
  • Friday 14th00 pm: Songs of Praise – hymn singing and special musical items including a Korean brass band and Ukrainian choir.
  • Saturday 15th00 – 4.30 pm Family fun afternoon in the Rectory garden from craft, games, snacks, science magic, songs, Bible story, quiz and more.
  • Sunday 16th00 am service followed by Calry Global Kitchen lunch in the Rectory garden.

A morning for clergy and anyone interested in hearing from a leading theologian - Revd Canon Dr Mark Thompson is the Principal of Moore Theological College in Sydney, Australia. It is one of the leading Anglican theological colleges in the world. He will be in the Catacombs on Saturday from 10.30 am – 12.30 pm. Why not join us?

Children’s and Families’ Ministry

Diocesan evening in Sligo Park Hotel on Friday 21st June at 7.30 pm with guest speaker Rachel Murphy on ‘Welcoming Families Well’. This promises to be a really helpful evening with ideas, resources, plenty of networking and a lovely meal. Cystic Fibrosis Ireland coffee morning on Thursday 27 June 10 am – 1.00 pm The Building Block, Floor Two, Bridge St.

Kids Summer Club

Run the Race is the summer camp being held at Sligo Presbyterian Church from Tuesday 2nd – Friday 5th July

5.30 – 7 pm. It’s for all National School aged children, and is free. For more information contact Revd David Clarke on 089 475 2358. Leaflets at the back of church this morning.


Move Christian Youth Camp

Well done to Emily Dunne and the rest of the Sligo-Leitrim girls u14 soccer team who won the Gaynor Cup in Limerick on Friday.
