News from Kindu
At the most recent CMSI online prayer room Bishop Masimango was sharing. He mentioned several up-to-date topics for prayer. Namely:
Security is reasonable in Kindu, but the east and particularly Goma remain tense with sporadic attacks. Four rebel groups are operating there. Disarmed rebels are being settled in the Kindu area. Please pray!
Flooding in Kindu. The Congo River has burst its banks washing away riverbank houses and shops.
New Dioceses – a 5 year strategic plan, youth assembly for 200 young people, 2 new dioceses being formed – Kalima in the north, Kayuyu in the south, church planting in the new dioceses – Kayuya is a majority Muslim area. Give thanks for the pastors taking on the challenge of ministering in new areas, pray for their support and families, pray for the evangelism and discipleship programmes.
Mothers’ Union activities, craft programme and literacy.
