Forthcoming Sunday Services (subject to change):

Date      Service Time & Type

5th July                  11.00 am Service of the Word: facebook or calry.ie

BIG Thanks

Many thanks to everyone who has really worked hard to adapt our services to enable many people to stay connected, get re-connected and to connect for the first time to Calry. There has been a lot of time invested in filming, video editing, singing, and the leading of prayers an children’s talks, updating of the Facebook page, designing the new website and more besides. This has been a huge team effort. Well done one and all!

Next Sunday

Bishop Ferran has written a letter for all parishes which you can see attached to this notice sheet (together with a few minor additions for Calry). When you come next Sunday there will be some differences but this is only to ensure that it is safe to gather together. Please read his letter for more detail.

There is a very helpful video with Q & A that has been specially made to help us prepare for going back to church. You can find it on the Facebook page.

NB: Please note that the service next Sunday will be live-streamed for the benefit of anyone who doesn’t feel ready to return. Only those leading will be visible in the feed.

Don’t Zoom Off!

After this morning’s service there will be a Zoom meeting for anyone who wants to have a chat and virtually share a coffee. Check your email for the link and stay for 5 minutes or much longer. NB: This will only be available from 12 noon on Sunday.

Calry Daily Office (prayer, Bible reading and reflection):

This week we are going down to just one live-streamed daily office on Wednesday which you can view in the usual ways on facebook.com/calryparishchurch/ or  calry.ie Please let us know what you think of it and what would be helpful for you.

Saturday Morning Prayer

It’s still on Zoom from 8.00 – 9.00 am with Christians from a variety of other Sligo churches. Why not join us?

CEF Camp Wednesdays Starting 1st July

In view of the fact that there are no camps in Rossnowlagh this year CEF have come up with a special programme for Juniors (8-11s) and Inters (12-14s). Simply register on the CEF website www.cefsligo.com and resource material will be sent to you. It’s free and will provide your children with really good teaching, craft and games.

Children and Family Devotions

This week on the Facebook page there is a wealth of information from the Children’s Ministry Network. And as usual there are some really useful ideas for children to explore this morning’s themes. Go to the Facebook page for more information or visit www.rootsontheweb.com to see also what there is for adults.

The Bible and The Bishop

Diocesan Service

This morning’s Diocesan service is based on the work of SAMS and includes an interview with Carla. Revd Stephen McElhinney is the preacher. To watch it go to youtube.

This is likely to be the last 10 am service.

You can also listen to the service by dialling 048 912 43 912. It is a standard national rate call.

Protestant Aid

If you are in a situation where you need financial help please get in contact with Canon Patrick. Protestant Aid offers grants to families or individuals who need practical help. This is all handled with the utmost confidentiality.

Diocese of Kindu, DR Congo

Have you seen the interview on the parish Facebook page with Archbishop Masimango? He asks us to pray for several things:

homes that need to be re-built after the recent flooding

pastors who are totally dependent on their poor parishioners for their meagre income have even less to live on

that there will not be an out-break of coronavirus covid-19 in Kindu

If you want to give something to support the church in Kindu please speak to either Margaret or Patrick.

The Scribe

There hasn’t been a printed version of the Scribe since March. The July-August edition should be available very soon online.
