We send our heartfelt condolences to Doreen and Albert Oldfield after the death of Doreen’s sister Valerie Sleator last week. The funeral was held in Riverstown, Valerie’s parish.

(Doreen, Valerie and their late sister Mai – the Lindsays - were married on the same day in a highly unusual triple wedding in Calry conducted by Canon Wood on 21st June 1975.)

Congratulations!

…to John (Canon Ronnie and Ruth’s oldest son) and Katie who have announced their engagement. He popped the question at the Palace of Versailles, near Paris!

God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
