This is the last Sunday in the Church year and is the festival of Christ the King. Next Sunday the year begins with Advent Sunday. The service today is led by Canon Stella Durand. She is also going to play the organ for two hymns. Claudio Barguena will lead a couple of songs also and will lead the prayers.
Today is national day of prayer for Youth Ministry and Young People. Please remember to pray for our children and young people, their families, and those who work with them.
Sunday School continues today meeting in the Rectory kitchen and is led by Dr Aine Burke and Hiroko Moore.
Please follow the directions of the Welcome Team and Church Wardens as to the one-way system, mask wearing and social distancing.
The group meets most Sundays at Forthill, weather permitting. Ask for details.
Bell Tower Group
Next Sunday morning the much anticipated Bell Tower Group will be back! This is for 6th Class through to 2nd Year. Come to church in the usual way and then leave for the group which will be led by Claudio and Carla.
Prayer for our Church
Do you have burdens and concerns for his people in Calry? Would you love to witness a greater openness to the things of the Spirit? Do you care about all that happens on a Sunday morning? If so then maybe you would like to take up an opportunity to meet for united prayer.
Sunday morning at 10.45 a little group will meet in St Barnabas’ Chapel to pray for the service. (This probably won’t include anyone who is busy preparing.)
Prayer for the Grammar School
Wednesday 1st December at 7.30 pm will be the next opportunity for parents and friends to pray for Sligo Grammar School. The meeting will be on Zoom so contact Patrick if you would like the link.
Prayer for Carbury NS
There is a regular monthly gathering for prayer for Carbury that is held on Zoom. The next meeting will be on Tuesday 7th December at 8.00 pm.
The daily office continues on Tuesday and Thursday at 10.30 am.
Saturdays Inter-Church Prayer
An hour of prayer, reflection and fellowship 8.00 – 9.00 am. All welcome. Contact Patrick for the link.

Calry Women’s Fellowship
An evening of Christmas wreath making is planned to be held in the Presbyterian Church Hall at 8 pm on Wednesday 24th November. Particular care will be taken to maintain social distancing, wear masks and use hand sanitizer. Contact Jennifer Bourke for more information.
This year Mother’s Union in the Diocese of Kilmore, Elphin and Ardagh are holding a Prayer Vigil in St. John’s Cathedral in Sligo on Saturday 27th November at 12:45 pm. This is part of our Global Day of Action, which is focusing on #nomore1in3. 1 in 3 women will be impacted by some form of violence in their life and we believe this is unacceptable. During the Vigil there will be a three-minute silence and our guest speaker will be Carmel McNamee from Sligo Domestic Violence Advocacy Service.
For anyone with family members or friends they love but see no longer there is a special annual memorial service taking place in Calry on Friday 3rd December at 8.00 pm. If you have someone that you would like to have mentioned please email their name to firstname.lastname@example.org If you are present you can light a candle in their memory. If you aren’t, their name will still be read aloud.
The Book of Sligo
Inspired by the 1500th anniversary of the birth of St. Colmcille, the Book of Sligo is a county-wide Community Arts Project and flagship event for Sligo Colmcille 1500. It has resulted in a new publication, The Book of Sligo, which showcases select stories and images from each of County Sligo's 40 civil parishes. As part of the project, a free copy of the book will be delivered by hand to each household in the county. Healthcare Christian Fellowship
This organisation is holding Saturday training sessions in November and December for any Christian in healthcare to encourage them how to be salt and light. The sessions are on Zoom.
