Christmas Videos – Spring to Life
Earlier in the year the Spring to Life Committee decided to produce some Christmas videos as an outreach similar to what we did last Easter. We went with the theme of ‘Meetings around the Manger’ and each video takes the perspective of one of the Christmas characters. Our heart was very much to try and share the real message of hope which Christmas offers to those who haven’t accepted it yet.
These videos are now complete and ready to be shared! They will be launched each day from Monday 20th December until Friday 24th December on two platforms:
1) The Spring to Life YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/channel/UCC_G4y8SMUdDUstPUacmV2A (Launched at 8am daily.)
2) The Spring to Life Facebook page: www.facebook.com/springtolifesligo/ (Launched at 10am daily.)
Many thanks to those who have written and presented each day. The messages contained in the videos are really worth hearing but need to be shared. Why not share them daily in your WhatsApp groups, Facebook pages? Individual links for each video will become available as they are launched.
Projection
Sneha Mathew has taken over the rota for organising the projection. This involves setting up slides beforehand and being responsible for projection during the service. Can you help?

Canon David White
Sadly, Canon David White died in Cornwall with Covid-19 on Thursday 16th. Many of you will remember him from several visits he paid to Sligo. He was the preacher at the Rector’s institution service in May 2009, was the main speaker at Spring to Life in 2017 and gave the Bible readings in Venue 2 at New Wine Ireland more recently. To know more go to his website: www.offeringthelight.com
Early bi-Monthly Communion Discontinued
The 8.30 am said Communion service has been discontinued for some months. If there is sufficient interest it can be restarted or moved to another time.
