Mothers’ Union Appeal

Request from Marlet Hunter, KEA Mothers’ Union Social Policy Contact:

Our 16 days of activism against gender-based violence will still be happening, but this year it will be on line.

This year again we are asking for donations for DVAS Sligo. Carmel from DVAS has suggested household items and kitchen-ware suitable for someone moving into a new home eg: bed linen, towels, tea towels (all should be new), crockery, cutlery, also games for children - jigsaws, board games, nothing noisy or battery operated.  Toiletries are always acceptable.

If you wish to donate something we will be opening St John’s Hall, John Street, on both Friday 20th and Saturday 21st November between 11am and 12 noon to receive items. Thank you!

Grammar School

In addition to viewing the virtual open day, you will also be able to see the school service of remembrance and reconciliation on the website at: www.sligogrammarschool.org

Generous Giving

Calry's finances are not good at present. Simply put, we are not covering our costs and have substantial arrears. Please pray for the Generous Giving Team and for our collective response. Look out for more information in the near future. In the meantime, consider this: We give as a response to what God has given us. We are not doing him, or anyone else, a favour by giving. It is our duty and our joy.

NB: SV Postponed

In case members of the SV aren’t aware, we are postponing the SV that was provisionally booked for 19th Nov until next month when hopefully we can meet in person.

In case you haven’t heard, Lyndsey had a lovely baby boy on Tuesday morning called Reuben Eric Tucker. As he is a few weeks early he is staying on in the SUH for a few days.Great News
