Canon Ronnie is kindly leading this morning’s service. The reading is Luke 15.11-32.

The Bambers are keeping a low profile awaiting test results because of contact with two known cases of Covid-19. As a result there is no service today in St John’s Hospital and no Sunday School.

Michael Fitzpatrick

It was a shock to hear of the unexpected death of Michael Fitzpatrick on Monday morning. He was as usual in church in St John’s Cathedral last Sunday, but was taken ill that evening and died the following day in Sligo University Hospital. Michael played a huge part in the life of Calry as a Warden and member of Select Vestry for many years. He was also very instrumental in the establishment of the Catacombs. Dear Anne is a much loved member of the church as are Deborah (his granddaughter), Niall and Ivy Davitt. We send our condolences to them and to his daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine and Stuart Barker and Trudi and Dean Arfon Williams.

Mary McSharry

Sadly, Mary died yesterday at home after a long battle with cancer. Her daughter and son-in-law Kelly and Gary Hester and their children Torres and Rion are well known to Calry people. Many of you will remember Mary speaking about ‘Stop the Traffik’ (an organisation in human trafficking prevention) in Calry a few years ago. She was a wonderful energetic and passionate Christian who believed in rolling up her sleeves and doing something to make the world a more just place.
