What Can I Do?
Faced with all manner of bad news, disasters, disappointment and even despair we may feel completely helpless. It can leave us feeling listless, like the wind has completely gone out of our sails. What can we possibly do that will make any difference? An awful lot, as it transpires! A rain jacket isn’t designed for fine weather. Similarly, we were not created to live in comfortable isolation from the harsh realities of life around, rather to be in the thick of it making a difference. That’s what we are called to do. That is the holy, godly, missional thing to do. So, what exactly can we do? That is the very question this ten Sunday series attempts to answer. It’s not a complete answer to the question, but it is a start.
11 am – 12 noon in the Rectory. We have started a new series on the Book of Proverbs. All welcome!
Wednesday midday prayer via Zoom has returned. This is 12.00 – 12.30 pm. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for the link.
We are aiming to have a nice supper together after our Harvest Thanksgiving on 1st October. If you can help provide some food please would you contact Pippa on 083 404 5806 to find out what is needed. If you can help please make contact with her by Wednesday 27th.
Also, if you are able why not bring something that can be given to those in real need in our community – especially non-perishable foods. More details to follow.
Tammy will lead a little training on setting up slides on VideoPsalm next Sunday 17th at 10 am. If you would like to learn how to use this very useful tool join her in church before the service.
We are keen to recruit more help with Sunday School and the youth team. If you are interested in helping you must be Garda vetted and train in Safeguarding Trust the Church of Ireland child protection policy.
NB We cannot guarantee that everyone who volunteers will be able to help.
